Roger L. Hutton is a dedicated funeral professional and the owner and manager of Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home, where he is committed to bringing honor and healing to the families of Knox County. Born in Knox County and raised by his parents, Roger and Maxine Hutton of Gray, KY, he has deep roots in the community he serves. He graduated from All Saints High School in 2002 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Eastern Kentucky University in 2007.
In 2012, Roger pursued his calling in the funeral service industry and began attending mortuary college. He graduated from Southeast Mortuary College in May 2014 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree. Shortly thereafter, in December 2014, he became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
In August 2024, Roger took on the pivotal role of owner and manager of Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home. He aims to create a meaningful family experience within the funeral home while establishing the business as a pillar of support in the wider community. His dedication to compassionate service reflects his belief in the importance of honoring lives and helping families navigate their grief.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Roger enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Tiffani Wyatt Hutton, and their two children, Braxton and Mason. He finds joy in mowing, landscaping, and engaging in outdoor activities, which further ties him to the community he loves.
With his commitment to service and community involvement, Roger L. Hutton continues to make a positive impact at Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home and the Knox County area.
Vickie Lynn Abner, a cornerstone of the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home team, was born in Pineville and raised on Stinking Creek in Knox County, Kentucky. The daughter of Joe Mills, Jr. and Cathleen Mills, Vickie has immersed herself in the community she proudly calls home. She graduated from Knox Central High School and furthered her education at Eastern Kentucky University and KCTCS.
Vickie joined Hampton Funeral Home in December 1997, starting as an office secretary under the leadership of Troy Hampton and Rondal Mills. Her dedication and strong work ethic quickly propelled her into an apprenticeship, where she honed her skills and knowledge in the funeral profession. In June 2001, Vickie's hard work culminated in her becoming a licensed funeral director, solidifying her commitment to providing compassionate care to families.
In addition to her role as a funeral director, Vickie has been a licensed insurance agent since July 2014, allowing her to better assist families in pre-planning for their future needs.
Outside of her professional life, Vickie enjoys spending time with her husband, E.G. Abner, and their son, Jeremy. She shares a passion for attending local car shows, where she appreciates the beauty of classic automobiles while enjoying quality family time.
With deep roots in Knox County and a genuine commitment to her community, Vickie embodies the values of compassion and service at Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home.
Doug Roberts is a dedicated professional and valuable member of the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home team, bringing over two decades of experience in the funeral industry. Born and raised in Laurel County, Kentucky, Doug is the son of the late Ray D. Roberts and Vickie Keith Roberts. He graduated from Laurel County High School and pursued his passion for funeral service at Mid-America College of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Since starting his career in 1994, Doug has been deeply involved in various facets of the funeral industry. He has served as a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1995, demonstrating his commitment to providing compassionate care and support to families in their times of need. In his role as a preneed specialist at Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home, Doug helps families plan ahead, ensuring peace of mind when it matters most.
Doug’s extensive knowledge and skills make him an asset to the residents of Knox County, as he is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and guidance throughout the funeral planning process. His heartfelt approach ensures that each family receives the personalized care they deserve.
Currently residing in London, KY, Doug is passionate about serving his community and providing support to those in need. His dedication to his work and his community continues to make a lasting impact at Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home.
Jack Powell has dedicated his career to serving others, first as a valued employee of Chrysler Corporation before finding his passion here at Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home. After retiring from Chrysler, Jack returned to his roots in Kentucky, where he began working alongside Troy Hampton. His commitment to compassionate service has made him an integral part of our team.
In the fall of 2024, Jack returned to Hampton-Hutton with renewed enthusiasm, eager to support families in their times of need. His extensive experience and genuine caring nature ensure that every family receives the attention and respect they deserve.
Outside of work, Jack enjoys spending quality time with his daughter and two grandchildren, who are the center of his world. He also has a passion for antique cars, often sharing stories and insights from his collection with colleagues and friends.
A resident of Knox County, Jack is known for his warm demeanor and unwavering dedication to his community. He is proud to be part of the Hampton-Hutton family, where he continues to make a difference in the lives of others.
Ryker Ty Jordan, a dedicated team member at Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home, was born in Pineville and raised in Barbourville, Kentucky. As the son of Casey and Misty Jordan, he exemplifies a strong commitment to family and community. Ryker graduated from Barbourville High School in 2024, where he established a foundation rooted in service and community engagement.
Currently pursuing his studies at Union Commonwealth University, Ryker is focused on a career in the funeral industry. His passion for serving others and desire to make a difference in people's lives drives his ambition in this field. Ryker values the importance of building meaningful connections with families during their most difficult times.
A lifelong resident of Barbourville, Ryker is actively involved in his community and is a proud member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. Outside of his professional pursuits, he enjoys outdoor activities, landscaping, and cherishing moments with his family, further embodying his commitment to community and nature.

Carl A. Jones is a dedicated funeral director at Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home, where he embodies a deep commitment to compassionate care and community involvement. A lifelong resident of Whitley County, Carl understands the needs of local families and strives to provide support during their most challenging moments.
Born to Albert and Margaret Jones, Carl graduated from Whitley County High School before pursuing higher education at the University of the Cumberlands. He is a licensed funeral director, equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to guide families through their journey of grief with grace and empathy.
Before joining Hampton-Hutton, Carl had a successful 27-year career with the Department of Community Based Services/Family Support, retiring in September 2017. His extensive experience in community services enhances his ability to connect with those he serves, ensuring that each family feels understood and supported.
Carl is also an active member of Buffalo Missionary Baptist Church, where he has been a Sunday school teacher for over 20 years, reflecting his commitment to spiritual growth and community education. Additionally, he is proud to be a member of Williamsburg Lodge #490 F&AM, as well as the Williamsburg York Rite bodies and their appendant bodies, where he continues to foster relationships built on service and brotherhood.
In May 1994, Carl married, Brenda Bryant Jones. Together, they cherish their community and dedicate themselves to uplifting those around them.
