Mrs. Zella Gray age 70 of Girdler, KY departed this life on Thursday, December 3, 2015 in the Continue Care Hospital in Corbin, KY. She was the wife of Clinton Gray and the daughter of the late Robert and Ethel (Keene) Jones. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 1, 1945.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one son Ricky Gray, six brothers, Clark, Clifton, Jason, Robert, Jr., Charles Ray and Alex Jones, and five sisters, Etura Moore, Hester Carnes, Jewell Hibbard, Lena Garland and Marie Jones.
Left behind to mourn her passing is her loving husband Clinton Gray, three sons, Ronnie Gray of Girdler, Stephen Gray and wife Deborah of Woolum and Darryl Gray and wife Penny of Girdler, one daughter, Rita Dople of Corbin, KY and fiance' Brian Bunch, one brother, Arvil Jones and wife Carolyn of Hamilton, Ohio and one sister, Loreen Helton of Corbin, eight grandchildren, Rodney Gray, Michael Gray, Ashley Gray, Alicia Walker, Amanda Martin, Anthony Gray, Megan Dople and Jessica Little, six great grandchildren, Logan Walker, Ethan Mason, Haven Mason, Abby Gray, Brayden Martin and Paisley Martin. Mrs. Gray also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Zella Gray will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, December 7th, 2015 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Tommy Frazier and Rev. Gilbert Collins officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will be in the Gray family Cemetery at Girdler, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m., on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 12:00 noon.
