Mr. Willie Paul Pickard age 81 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at his home. He was the husband of Lovella (Helton) Pickard and the son of the late Robert & Louverna (Mays) Pickard born to them on May 31, 1927 in Knox County KY. Paul was a member of the Apple Grove Missionary Baptist Church and liked to rabbit hunt, bird hunt, and work in the yard. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Charlie Dye and Homer (Boxhead) Pickard and one sister Juanita Pickard Jones.
Survivors include, his wife Lovella Helton Pickard of Barbourville, Ky., one son Eddie Corey & wife Jean of Barbourville, Ky., One Brother James (Pick) Pickard of Barbourville, Ky., two grandchildren Chris Corey and Tim Corey & wife Sandy, and two great grandchildren Hannah Faith Corey and Cannan Timothy Corey. Mr. Pickard also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday – October 9th, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Denvil Taylor, Lewis Helton & Tim Corey and Rev. Jerry Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Hammons Cemetery at Flat Lick with friends serving as pallbearers. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
