Willie Joe Helton

Mr. Willie Joe Helton, age 73 of Flat Lick, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at his home. He was the son of Joe Welch and Cledie Helton, born to them on February 7, 1944 in Barbourville. Joe was a truck driver for G & M Oil and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Joe is survived by his loving wife; Thelma Helton of Flat Lick: Two step-sons; Frank Sizemore (Tracy), James Sizemore (Laura): Two step-daughters: Devona Carnes (Donnie) and Wendy Gray (Jeffrey.) One sister: Mary Hammons: One Brother: Walter Helton: Joe is also survived by six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Willie Joe Helton will be conducted on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Demus Couch and Rev. Lonnie Collett officiating. Burial will follow in the Collett Cemetery at Flat Lick with family members and friends serving as pallbearers.

Friends will be received at the Salem Baptist Church on Monday, May 1, 2017 after 5:00 P.M. and on Tuesday after 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 2:00.
