Mr. William "Bill" Siler Sears, age 70 of Gray, KY departed this life on Friday, July 27, 2012 in the UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. He was the husband of Mary Elizabeth (Duff) Sears and the son of Glen Sears and Ruby Adams Sears born to them on April 9, 1942 in Knox Co. He was a member of the Keck Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents Glen & Ruby Sears, one son, James Wesley Sears, a brother Roy Sears and three sisters, Jean Manning, Carolyn Sears and Geraldine Sears.
Survivors include his wife Mary Elizabeth Sears of Gray, KY, one son, Michael Sears of California, three daughters, Carolyn Lester of Rockholds, , Bessie Jane Hopkins of Gray, Michelle Jones of London, two step children, Tammy Lisa Lease of Somerset and Darren Jeff Wheeldon of Nicholasville, five brothers, Jack Sears, Lowell Sears, Keith Sears, Jerry Sears and John Sears all of Gray, five sisters, Doris Wunch of Gray, Wanda Sue Peterson of Rockhold, TN, Bobbie Bolton of Gray, Kay Philpot of Corbin and Connie Smith of Gray, eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Sears will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jimmy Siler and Rev. David Johnson officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews. Burial will follow in the Adams Cemetery at Walker Park Rd. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m.
