Mr. William Mckinley Messer age 70 of Scalf, KY departed this life on Saturday –April 5, 2008 at his home. He was the widower of Goldia Messer and the son of e Clark Messer & Hazel (Carnes) Messer of Knox Co.
Mr. Messer was a member of the Salt Gum Baptist Church. Mr. Messer also enjoyed hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. His parents, his wife and one brother George Messer preceded Mr. Messer in death.


Survivors include two sons Jeffery Allen Messer & wife Tammy of Dewitt, KY., McKinley Messer, Jr, & wife Lillie of Dewitt, KY., one daughter Shannon Cornelius & husband James of Corbin, KY., 9 grandchildren Stephanie Messer, Cynthia Messer, Jessica Messer, William Messer, Waylon Messer, Austin Messer, Hunter Cornelius, Mckinzie Messer and Alicia Cornelius He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Nadine Partin along with a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Messer will be conducted on Tue-April 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lonnie Collett, Rev. Kennon Roark, and Rev. Vernon Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Adams Cemetery on Walker Park Rd. with Poncho Hobbs, Jeremy Mills, Mount Brown, Wendell Bond, James Cornelius, Wade Walker, Mike Walker and Wayne Brown serving as pallbearers, Doug Mills is an Honorary Pallbearer. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
