Wesley Mills

Mr. Wesley “Nab” Mills age 61 of Hinkle, KY departed this life on Thursday, February 11, 2010 in the Knox Co. Hospital. He was the son of Wesley and Edna Mills born to them on October 17, 1948 in Knox Co., KY. On September 13, 1969 he united in marriage with Shirley Callebs. He was a deacon and member of the Dripping Springs Baptist Church and was ordained on October 3, 1987. He enjoyed attending church, coon hunting, making molasses, fishing and working. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Edna Mills, one son Lloyd Mills and one brother Aster Mills.
Left behind to mourn his passing is his wife Shirley Mills of Hinkle, one daughter Susan Smith and husband Darrell of Hinkle, three brothers, O.V. Mills and wife Onylee of Barbourville, Leman Mills and wife Nadean of Magnolia, KY and Ray Mills and wife Kay of Bloomington, KY, six sisters, Virgina Reeves of Boone Height, Geneva Burnham of Heidrick, Ramona Isreal and husband Charles of Louisville, Janice Broughton of Cannon, Brenda Sue Price of Louisville and Glenda Riddle and husband Calvin of Barbourville, four grandchildren, Nathan Mills, Tippori Hope Mills, Devin Smith and Ethan Smith. Mr. Mills also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Wesley Mills will be conducted on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dripping Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Broughton, Rev. Dewayne Smith and Rev. Vernon Morris officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews of Mr. Mills. Honorary pallbearers will be all members of the Dripping Springs Baptist Church and the staff of the Knox Co. Hospital and Knox Co. Home Health. Burial will be in the Callebs Creek Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and at the Dripping Springs Baptist Church on Sunday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
