Wavelyn Reynolds of Bimble, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at his home, being 64 years, 2 months and 28 days of age. He was born on June 2, 1952 in Knox County, Kentucky to the late Eugene Reynolds and the late Bessie Teague Reynolds. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his four brothers: Junior Reynolds, Louis Reynolds, Edward Reynolds and N.C. Reynolds; three sisters: Juanita Mills, Mary Daniels, Lizzie Evelyn Reynolds. On October 2, 1971 he married the love of his life Judy McVey Reynolds and to this union two daughters were born. Wavelyn was a faithful member of Beech Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He leaves behind to mourn his passing, his loving wife of 44 years Judy Reynolds; two daughters: Patty Nottingham and husband Shawn of Bimble, Kentucky and Penny Suttles and husband Dwayne of Boone Heights; four grandchildren: Victoria, Aaron, Emma and Tiffany; one great-grandchild: Jase Wavelyn and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A funeral service for Wavelyn Reynolds will be conducted on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 2:00PM in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Hembree, Rev. David Rice and Rev. E.C. Fields officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Dozier Cemetery at Bimble with the Men of Beech Springs Baptist Church serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at Hampton Funeral Home.
