Walter Owen Jordan

Mr. Walter "W.O." Owen Jordan age 80 of Artemus, KY departed this life on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 in the Barbourville Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was the son of Jeff and Nancy (Mills) Jordan and was born in Knox Co. on February 4, 1931. Mr. Jordan was a member of the Artemus Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jeff & Nancy Jordan, nine brothers, Dewey, Chester, Hubert, Bill, R.J., Dail, T.J., Vick and Woodson Jordan.
Left behind to mourn his passing is two sisters, Helen Lakatos and husband Alex of Fairborn, Ohio and Mable Laws of Barbourville, two sisters-in-law, Audrey Jordan of Flat Lick and Delina Jordan of Manchester. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Jordan will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tom Patterson and Rev. Jimmy McDonald officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Farley Cemetery at Himyar, KY. Pallbearers will be family & friends, Honorary Pallbearers will be his Brothers in Christ at the Artemus Baptist Church, all the staff of the Trillium Rehabilitation Center and all the staff of the Barbourville Health & Rehabilitation Center. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
