Mrs. Virgie Waskom age 85 of Hinkle, KY, passed away on Saturday – December 27, 2008 in the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Corbin. She was the widow of Gerald Lee Waskom and the daughter of the Charles & Dora (Burns) Ingram of Hazard born to them on July 05,1923. She was a retired assembly worker from General Motors and enjoyed just being a homemaker. She was a member of the Dryden Road Pentecostal Church in Dayton, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles & Dora Ingram, her husband Gerald Lee Waskom, two brothers Charles Ingram and Wilford Ingram and two sisters.
Survivors include one son Bobby Ray Waskom & wife Inis of Hinkle, KY, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Virgie Waskom will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday – December 30, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Lonnie Collett officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements. Friends may call at the Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. Until the hour of service at 3:00 p.m.
