Victoria Deaton

Mrs. Victoria Carnes Deaton age 71 of Barbourville, KY born May 14, 1939 passed away Wednesday morning April 6th, 2011 at her home. Victoria was a member of the Salt Gum Baptist Church, and was the daughter of the late Homer & Ethel Mills of Knox County.
Victoria was united in marriage to the late Roy Carnes in November of 1959, and to this union seven children were born.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Homer Lee Carnes, three sisters, Feebie, Wanda, and Ruthie Mills, and one brother Paul Mills.
Left behind to mourn her passing is two daughters Irma Woolum & husband Wayne of Barbourville, KY, Brenda Helton & husband Junior of Dewitt, KY, four sons Lonnie Carnes & wife Donna of Bimble, KY, Jimmy Carnes & wife Ruth of Caney Gap, Eddie Carnes of Corbin, and David Carnes & wife Stacie of Flat Lick. Twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Three sisters Betty Baker & husband Gerald of Barbourville, KY, Virginia Mills of Flat Lick, and one special sister Genoria Stewart of Barbourville, KY, and one brother Jerry Mills of Barbourville, KY , plus a host of other relative and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Victoria Deaton will be conducted on Sunday – April 10th, 2011 @ 11:00 a.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Barnard & Rev. Kennon Roark officiating. Burial will follow in the Levi Bargo Cemetery at Turkey Fork with Brandon Van, Jason Powers, Willie Stewart, Jimmy Stewart, Chris Jackson, Wesley Mills, Hobert Helton, and Dustin Woolum serving as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hospice of the Bluegrass Staff and Professional Home Health. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 :00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m.
