Vickie Mcglennon

Mrs. Vickie Renee’ (Cox) McGlennon age 45 of Lexington, KY departed this life on Sunday, February 21, 2010 in the St. Joseph Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY. She was born in Covington, KY on July 10th, 1964 and was the daughter of Franklin Deleno Cox & Wanda Jewell Pickard.
Vickie was a patient service representative for Lexington Infection Disease Consultants. She believed in the Baptist faith. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, being with her friends at the lake & camping. She also liked being in the country, and enjoyed her animals and loved being with her kids. She also enjoyed spending time at her aunt Sandy’s in Horse Hollow.
She was preceded in death by her mother Wanda Jewell Pickard, and her grandparents John Simeon & Nila (Helton) Pickard and Monroe & Docia Cox.
Left behind to mourn her passing is her husband Eric McGlennon , son John Samuel Cox, and daughter Sabrina Jewell McGlennon all of Lexington, KY, two half brothers Curtis & Earl Taylor Cox both of Taylor Mill, KY, nephews, Killian Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Jake Hayden, Joseph Hayden, and Josh Hayden, nieces Bethany Taylor and Mary Beth Hayden, a special aunt Sandy Pickard, who was thought of as a friend, sister and mother, and special cousin Woodrow Simeon Slusher who was like a brother, both of Jarvis, KY, a sister-in-law Michelle Hayden & husband Kevin and her mother & father–in-law Jim & Ramona McGlennon, special cousins, Debbie Jackson who helped her fulfill her dream to go on a cruise shortly before her death, Nickie Halcomb, Joyce Halcomb, Roger Halcomb, Patty McQueen and great uncle Dillard Cobb. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
There will be visitation at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home in Lexington, KY at the Harrisburg Rd location on Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and then at the Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
Funeral services for Mrs. Vickie McGlennon will be conducted on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with John Samuel Cox, Stephanie Staples and Christopher Sparks officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her mother in the Jack Helton Family Cemetery at Jarvis, KY. Pallbearers will be Bryan Elwood, Chris Adams, Kevin Sparks, John Davenport, Rick Neal, Kelly Ramsey, Markus Cheek, and B.J. Gardner. Honorary pallbearers will be Betty Burkhart, Donna Bailey Sturgeon, Johnnie Buckley, Lori Elwood, Stephanie Staples and Elizabeth (Mom Sawyers) Roberts. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
