Mrs. Valerie Leavon Patterson age 49 of Cannon, KY departed this life on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 in the UK Medical Center in Lexington. She was the wife of William Stanley Patterson and the daughter of Creed Sprinkles and Helen Garland Sprinkles. She was born in Knox Co. on January 9, 1961. She believed in the Pentecostal faith and was an employee of SEKRI in Barbourville where she was a seamstress. Valeries favorite thing to do was to be with her family and grandchildren and she loved Holidays and Cookouts. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Left behind to mourn her passing is her husband William Stanley Patterson of Cannon, KY, one daughter, Rebecca Roark Helton of Cannon, two sons, Phillip Roark and wife Amy of Barbourville and Matthew Sprinkles and wife Felicia of Cannon, two brothers, Bobby Garland of Barbourville and Dale Garland and wife Tammy of Callebs Creek, nine grandchildren, Martina Roark , Savannah Roark, Dakota Helton, Nicholas Helton, Devan Roark, Dylan Roark, Matthew Sprinkles, Jr., Olivia Sprinkles and Alexis Valentine, eight nieces and nephews and many other children that she took into her home and cared for. She also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Patterson will be conducted on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leslie Broughton officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Moriarty, Robert Elam, Chris Helton, Wayne Roark, Jed Brown, Steve Brown and Jeffrey McVey.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
