Mr. Timmy Ray Ledford age 44, Girdler, Ky. departed this life on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 in the Knox Co. Hospital.
He was the son of Jack and Fern Ledford born to them on October 8, 1962. Mr. Ledford believed in the Baptist faith. Tim was preceded in death by his ex-wife Angela Morgan, his paternal grandparents, Ballard and Fannie Barnes Ledford, maternal grandparents, John and Julia Smith Townsley. Seven uncles, Kelly Townsley, Howard Ledford, Dallas Ledford, Creed Ledford, Charles Lee Ledford, Sam Ledford and Lester Ledford. Three aunts: Mae Townsley Broughton, Mary Tuttle, and Jennie Messer. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: Parents: Jack and Fern Ledford of Girdler, Ky., One Son: Joshua Ledford and wife Angie of Heidrick, Ky., two dear friends, Lisa and Hannah Kirby, Two sisters: Robin Smith and husband Larry of Tennessee and Beth Roley of Girdler, Ky. Special nieces & nephews: Brandi Smith, Britanny Nicely, DD Hammons and Dilan Hammons, Uncles: Ken Ledford and wife Lois, Michigan, Colonel Townsley and wife Mae of Girdler, Ky,; Rev. Clarence Townsley and wife Louellan of Girdler, Ky. Aunts: Cleda Stollen of St. Louis, MO., Agnes Stacy of Girdler; Vivian Ledford of Cannon, Ky, Eva Hulen and husband Walter of Little Rock, Ark., Ida Gambrel and husband John C. of Dearborn Hgts. MI., Beulah Marie Ginslak and husband Richard of Hudson, Fla., Karen Townsley of Tyner, Ky. and Flora Jean Warring of Scranton, Pa. Tim also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Tim Ledford will be conducted on Thursday-June 7 at 11 a.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Broughton and Rev. Clarence Townsley officiating. Pallbearers will be Gary Townsley, Homer Tuttle, Mike Ledford, Gilbert Day, Ricky Mills, Willard Bargo, Larry Townsley, Jr. and Robert Riley. Honorary pallbearers will be Blaine Mills and Scott Lee. Burial will follow at the Ledford Cemetery at Greenroad. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
