Thelma Brown age 71, of Scalf, KY, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Otis & Vinnie (Shelton) Mills, born to them on May 7th, 1939 in Clay County.

Thelma was a Homemaker an of the Holiness faith, she was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Ernie Mills.

Left behind to mourn her passing is four sons M.D. Brown Jr, & fiancé Becky Helton of Scalf, KY, Raymond Hammons & wife Helen of Dewitt, KY, Ernie Hammons & wife Priscilla of Dewitt, KY, and Franklin Hammons of Artemus, KY. Two daughters Mossie Brown of Green road, KY, and Kimberly Deaton & husband Charles of Cannon, KY, one brother Earl Mils of Gray, KY, 20 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Thelma Brown will be conducted on Friday, October 22nd, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gilbert Collins & Rev. Stoney Brown officiating. Pallbearers will be Family & Friends. Honorary Pallbearers are Grandsons. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery at Brown’s Branch. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00.
