Mrs. Tammy Jean Stewart age 38 of Lily, KY (formerly of Knox County) departed this life on Tuesday, January 06, 2009 in the UK Medical Center in Lexington. She was born on January 19, 1970 in Knox County Kentucky to the union of Rev. Gilbert & Shirley (Hinkle) Sproles. She was a member of the Heidrick Holiness Church. She liked to go camping, to color and especially loved her boys. She was preceded in death by her husband David Dwight Stewart whom she married on December 14, 1985 and by her parents Rev. Gilbert and Shirley Sproles and one brother Charles Sproles.
Survivors include three sons Derek Michael Stewart and girlfriend Haley Dyche, Justin Adam Stewart and girlfriend Christina Johnson all of Lexington, KY and Joshua Evan Stewart of Lily, KY, two brothers Ronnie Sproles and wife Debra of London, KY and Tim Sproles and wife Kelly of Richmond, KY, two sisters Kathy Baker and husband Lloyd of Lily, KY and Kimberly Mills and husband David of Gray, KY, her Grandmother Gertrude Hinkle of Girdler, KY and he following nieces and nephews, Joey Mills and wife Amy, Ashley Allen and husband Joshua, Katilyn Baker, Austin Baker, Morgan Mills, Dylan Mills, Jordan Green, Brandon Collins and Destiny Sizemore and a very special friend and aide Laura Farris. She is also survived by several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. The family would also like to send a special thank you to all the staff at the UK Markey Cancer Center for their wonderful care & support given to Tammy and her family. Funeral services for Mrs. Tammy Jean Stewart will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday-January 9, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Tommy Frazier and Marvin Rose officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Faber, Dustin Epperson, Michael Kunkel, Donovan Epperson, Brandon Havens and Chris Noel. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements. The family will receive friends at Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday-January 8, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
