Mr. Starlin Ray Hembree age 67, of Trosper, KY went on to be with the lord Saturday November 8, 2008 in the Knox County Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara Bays Hembree and the son of Lannie and Nannie Ellen Hembree born to them on August 5, 1941 in Knox County. Starlin loved to hunt, fish and to play his Mandolin. He was also a member of the Trosper Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents Lannie and Nannie Ellen Hembree and his Father In Law Calvin Bays.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Bays Hembree whom he married on March 23,1971.Two Daughters Jessica Marsee and husband Charlie of Barbourville, KY and Beck Bays of Trosper, KY, two brothers: Joe Lee Hembree of Trosper, KY, George Willie Hembree and wife Ginger of Michigan, three sisters: Celia Hamilton of Trosper, KY, Beverly Myrick and husband Jimmy of Artemus, KY and Mary Johnson of Bell County, by four grandchildren: Calvin and Carley Marsee, Paige and Ethan Hamilton by his Mother in Law Irene Bays of Trosper, KY by two brother in laws Charlie Bays and wife Denise of Trosper, KY, Robert Bays and wife Sherry of Barbourville, KY, by three sister in laws Wanda Messer and husband Earl of Greenroad, Ky, Geraldine Hamilton of Trosper, KY, Betty Philpot and husband Vernon of Kay Jay, KY. Funeral services for Starlin Hembree will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday November 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tim Hamilton and Rev. Sylvester Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in the Tinsley Cemetery at Trosper, KY with Walter Ray Hamilton, Peanut Carnes, Rodney Legger, Chris Hamilton, Charlie Marsee, Jerry Hamilton, Charlie Bays and James Hamilton serving as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Trosper Church of God and Knox County Home Health. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all the arrangements. The Family will receive friends at Hampton Funeral Home on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m.
