Silas Lee Maiden

Mr. Silas Maiden, age 85, of Barbourville, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 in the Knox County Hospital. He was the husband of Dora Maiden, and the father of Gilbert Lee Maiden of Barbourville, and Shelia Carnes of Corbin, Kentucky. Besides his wife and children Silas is survived by seven sisters, Melissa Mayne, Minerva Partin, Margie Hyder, and Sarah Logan all of Barbourville, Lois Smith and her husband Leroy of Williamstown, Betsy Smith of Ohio and Jean Birch and husband Jim of Ohio.He also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Silas Maiden will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 2013 in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Croley officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will follow in the Evans Cemetery in Barbourville. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
The family will received friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Saturday evening and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m. at the Hampton Funeral Home.
