Shirley Ann (Deal) Ison

Shirley Ann (Deal) Ison age 85 of Cumberland, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Harlan ARH Hospital. She was the widow of Darrell Ison and the daughter of Carl Deal and Maudie (Hornsby) (Deal) Edwards. She was born on June 28, 1938 in Benham, Kentucky. Shirley attended Trinity Tabernacle Church, she loved her family, animals and enjoyed cooking, she also sold Avon.

She is preceded in death by her husband Darrell Ison, parents Carl and Maudie (Hornsby) (Deal) Edwards, three siblings Carl Douglas Deal, Ray Edwards, Gregory Edwards

Left behind to mourn her passing, two children Douglas Lee Ison of Cumberland, Kentucky, Tammy (Ison) Taylor of North Port, Florida, nine siblings Linda K. (Deal) Brown of Kokomo, Indiana, Jimmy Wayne Deal (Ann) of Cumberland, Kentucky, Debra Edwards of Cumberland, Kentucky, Janet (Edwards) Polson of Cumberland, Kentucky, David Deal (Gwen) of Piedmont, Oklahoma, Mary Murr of Knoxville, Tennessee, Gloria McInnes (Jim) of Ferndale, Florida, Karen Miles (Cecil) of Portage, Indiana, Dennis Deal (Marie) of Benham, Kentucky, one grandson who she spoiled rotten and cherished David Ryan Taylor (Courtney) currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan in the Marine Corps., future great-granddaughter to be born at the end of May, Layla Ryann Taylor, she was so looking forward to spoiling her.

Funeral services for Shirley Ison will be conducted at the Trinity Tabernacle Church on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Phillip Jackson and Rev. Jonathan Adams officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Huff Cemetery at Cumberland. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the church on Monday, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 12:00.
