Sherrie Lynn (Owens) Mapes

Sherrie Mapes age 68 of Gray, Kentucky passed away on Saturday - December 7, 2024 at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky. She was born on March 5, 1956 in Knox County, Kentucky to the union of the late John William Owens and Mahalia Merida Owens. She was the widow of the late Ronald Hicks, she was preceded in death by her parents and her husband and these siblings: Bobbie Horsley, Bernice Smith, Diana Gray, Curtis, Johnny, Andrew, Troy and Carl Estill Owens.

Survivors include these children: Son - Richard Hicks (Shelia), Daughter - Pamela Renea Hicks, grandson Landon Hughes, Stepchildren: Angela Eversole (Mike), Darryl Hicks and David Hicks, Granddaughter - Elizabeth Mason and other grandchildren, nieces and nephews, brothers David and Dale Owens

Funeral services for Sherrie Mapes will be conducted on Thursday - December 12, 2024 in the chapel of Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery at Smith Hollow.

The family of Sherrie Mapes will receive friends on Thursday - December 12, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 2:00 P.M. at the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home.
