Mr. Shelby Hubbard age 92, of Barbourville, KY was born on April 8, 1916 in Clay County, KY to John and Myrtle (Smith) Hubbard. He departed this life on Saturday June 21, 2008 in the Barbourville Nursing Home. He is preceded in death by his wife Virgie Hubbard, his parents John and Myrtle Hubbard and one son Johnny Ray Hubbard. Survivors include two brothers William Hubbard of Lexington, KY and Robert Smallwood of Corbin, KY, two sisters Juanita St. John of Corbin, KY and Ruth Smallwood of Keavy, KY, two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Shelby Hubbard will be conducted on Tuesday June 24, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Ray Dean officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery at Corbin, KY. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
