Shane Curtis Smith age 14 of Gray, KY passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2012. He was the son of Tony & Melinda Smith born to them on July 31, 1997 in Whitley County.
Shane attended Church in Barbourville with Rev. Scott Phipps and enjoyed Basketball, Fishing, Video Games, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather's Nevel Smith and Tom Mitchell, a step-brother and an infant brother.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his parents Tony Smith of Bailey Switch & Melinda Smith of Swan Pond, his Grandmother Nadine Smith who has raised him since birth, one brother Cody Lyne Smith of Gray, KY, two step brothers William Johnson and Joshua Johnson both of Swan Pond, one sister Payton Marie Smith of Gray, Aunts Tammy Grubb & Dwayne Jackson of Artemus, Angela Elam of Bailey Switch, Tina Jackson & Joey Holdinmam of 229, and Norma Taylor & John Mulls of Lily, KY, Uncles J.C. Grubb & wife Shirley of Bailey Hollow, Doyle Grubb & Julie of Pineville, Nevel Grubb & wife Tosha, David Smith & Amber both of Bailey Switch. Plus a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Shane Smith will be conducted on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.C. Grubb officiating. Pallbearers will be J.C. Grubb, Doyle Grubb, David Smith, Cody Smith, Jordan Jackson, Christian Jackson, Tony Smith, Tom Mitchell, Nevel Grubb. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the Hampton Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
