Mrs. Sandra Lee Baker King age 50, of Barbourville departed this life on Saturday March 22, 2014 at the Knox Co. Hospital. She was the wife Jeffery King and the daughter of Harold Baker and the late Rae Ann Shepherd King born to them on April 6, 1963. She was a retired school teacher at G.R. Hampton and a member of the Roadside Baptist church.
Survivors include her son, Anthony Lakin King and wife Bethany of Barbourville, Two daughters, Marena Rae Knig and Kelsea Glynn King of Barbourville, a brother, BJ. Baker and wife Kayle of Barbourville, two sisters, Tammy Baker Phipps of Barbourville and Cindy Bennett of Green Road, Nephews Jeremy King and wife Sabrina of Barbourville and Justin King of Barbourville, Father in Law Allen King of Gray, two Brother in laws, David King and wife Pam of Barbourville and Doug King and wife Jeanetta of Tampa Florida, Three nieces, Kadi Jordan and husband Justin of Girdler, Ali Bennett of Barbourville and Paige Michelle Phipps of Barbourville and all her very special aunts, Great Nephews and Neices and very special little friends, Amy, Enda, Xaria, Ender and Emmitt and a very special thanks to all Knox County school system employees, all current and former students and her GR Hampton family who are left to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Sandra King will be conducted in the chapel of the Hampton funeral home on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Josh Smith officiating. Friends will be received at the Hampton funeral home on Thursday March 27, 2014 from 6:00 until 9:00 pm and on Friday from 10 am until the hour of service at 2:00.
