Sally Ruth Scott

Mrs. Sally Ruth Scott, age 90 of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Dover Manor in Georgetown, Kentucky.  She was born on June 1, 1927 in Barbourville, Kentucky, to the late Abijah Wombles and Mary Lee House.  She was the widow of Cecil Scott.  Sally was a homemaker and a member of New Bethel Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Abijah Wombles and Mary Lee House, husband Cecil Scott, sons Charles Wayne Scott, Martin Smith, Jr. and Curtis Eugene Scott.

Left behind to mourn his passing are sons Arnold Cecil Scott and wife Edna of Georgetown, Kentucky, Kenneth Ray Scott of Covington, Kentucky, and Denver Carl Scott of Georgetown, Kentucky, daughters Viola June Vaughn of Barbourville, Kentucky, Lucy Kathleen Downey of Georgetown, Kentucky, Rosa Lee Grills of Georgetown, Kentucky, Margret Ann Martin of Barbourville, Kentucky, Linda Carol Mills of Barbourville, Kentucky, Sharon Jean Collins of Barbourville, Kentucky, Connie Eulene Honeycutt and husband David of London, Kentucky and Shirley Mae Carroll and husband Levi of Shelbyville, Kentucky.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Sally Ruth Scott will be conducted on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel.  She will be laid to rest in the Davidson Family Cemetery at Scott Hollow.

Friends will be received at the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday evening January 23, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.   Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
