Mrs. Ruth (Miller) Logan, age 72, 107 Campbell St. Barbourville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Oscar and Martha Shelton Miller was born in Knox County, Kentucky on March 8, 1935 and departed this life at her home on Sunday November 4, 2007. Mrs. Logan was member of the Apple Grove Baptist Church. She was a Hair Stylist and the Owner of Ruth’s Beauty Shop in Barbourville. She was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Martha Miller her husband Franklin Dee Logan and one great grandchild, Charles Ray Black.
Survivors include one daughter, Kim Payne and Husband Derik, Barbourville, Kentucky, two sons Michael Black and Wife, Bobbie of Pennsylvania and Charles Black and wife, Cathy, of South Carolina, two brothers, Johnny Miller and wife, Peggy, Barbourville, Kentucky and Mr. Troy Miller, and wife Jewell, of Louisville, Kentucky, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends left to mourn her passing. Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruth Logan will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday November 6, 2007at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Cooper and Rev. Sam Moore officiating. Interment will be in the Barbourville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends, honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Lohe, Tri County Hospice and employees of Knox County Hospital.
