Mrs. Ruby (Mills) Reeves age 51 of Greenroad, Ky departed this life on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at her home. She was the daughter of Earl & Edna Mills and was born on October 13, 1962 in Knox Co. Mrs. Reeves was a homemaker and devoted mother. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Earl Mills, Jr. and one sister, Brenda Jordan.
Survivors include two sons, Chris McVey and wife Tiffany of Bull Creek and Earl Franklin McVey of Greenroad, three brothers, Harold Mills of Gray, Denver Mills and wife Kathy of Bimble and Bobby Ray Mills of Greenroad, four sisters, Betty Ruth Smith and husband David of Greenroad, Mary Lynn Mills and husband Carl of Girdler, Billie Joyce Barnes House and fiance' Jason Grubbs of Corbin and Margie Deaton of Greenroad, four grandchildren, Samuel McVey, Conner McVey, Payton McVey and Serenity McVey, special friends whom she loved as her sisters and brothers, Michael House, Sherry Bargo and Patricia Mills. Mrs. Reeves also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Reeves will be conducted on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Owen Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will follow in the Hammons Cemetery at Girdler, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 12:00 noon.
