Roy Wilson

Mr. Roy Estil “Blue” Wilson age 74 of Artemus, KY departed this life on Sunday-May 1st, 2011 in the St. Joseph Hospital in London, KY, he was the husband of Mary (Marsee) Wilson and the son of the late Bill & Julie (Cox) Wilson born to them on December 9th, 1937 in Knox county.
Mr. Wilson believed in the Baptist faith, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding four wheelers.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Mayhan and a younger sister and two grandsons Tony Todd Wilson and Rodney McIntyre.
Left behind to mourn his passing is his wife Mary Odell Wilson of Artemus, two sons Tony Dale Wilson & wife Reba of Barbourville, Randy Lee Wilson & wife Patty of Kay Jay, three daughters Sandra Dean Wilson and Tina Wilson both of Kay Jay, and Tammy Lynn Wilson & Steve Brown of Barbourville, two brothers Jack Wilson of Casey County and Llyod Wilson & wife of Corbin, KY, three sisters Cleda Jones of Barbourville, Arbutaz Powers & husband Stelly of Popular Creek, and Evelyn Puff of Dalton, Ga. Plus a host of other relative and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. Wilson will be conducted on Tuesday – May 3rd, 2011 @ 12:00 noon in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arnold Petery officiating. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Ray Golden, Robert Logan, Little Randy Wilson, Travis McIntyre, Jason Butler, and Tommy Marsee. Honorary Pallbearers will be Verlan Golden, Jr, Steve Brown, Jason Lake, Robert Cox, Doyle Gene Brooks, and Wade Hurst. The family would say a special Thank You to Barbourville EMT & Artemus rescue squad. Burial will follow in the Tinsley cemetery at Kay Jay. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the Hampton Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tue from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 12 noon.
