Mr. Roella Lloyd Golden, age 54 of Flat Lick, KY departed this life on Sunday, January 18, 2009 in the UK Medical Center in Lexington. He was born on August 20, 1954 and was the son of James Lloyd Golden and Valie Mable (Collins) Golden. Mr. Golden believed in the Holiness faith and was a Coal Miner . He loved spending time with his family and helping everyone he could. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Valie Mable Golden and two sisters, Pauline Green and Glenna Jennings.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his loving wife Francis Lynn Golden of Flat Lick, two sons, Brandon Lloyd Golden and Joshua Cody Golden both of Flat Lick, six brothers, Troy Golden and wife Gloria of Trosper, Denver Golden of Barbourville, James Willard Golden and wife Wilma of Cincinnati, Ohio, Estill Golden of Barbourville, Ernest Golden of Florida, Randall Golden of Detroit, Michigan, two sisters, Shirley Kirtley of Detroit, Michigan and Tammy Houghton of Middlesboro, KY, his mother and father in law, David and Violet Baker of Artemus and his brothers & sisters in law, Lovella Frederick and husband William of Flat Lick and Parker Gray and wife Patricia of Barbourville and a very special friend, Charles Merida. He also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Mr. Golden will be conducted on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 12:00 noon in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Reed Murphy and Rev. Haskell Mills officiating. Pallbearers will be Charles Merida, Chris Hobbs, Ronnie Gambrel, David Hinkle, Bryan Hinkle and Jeremy Gray. Honorary pallbearers will be all family & friends. Burial will be in the Baker Cemetery at Artemus, KY with Hampton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Friends will be recieved at the Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6-9, Wed 9-9 and Thursday 9-12:00.
