Robert "Bob" John Barbus

Mr. Robert “Bob” John Barbus, age 82 of Lynch, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, November 26, 2021 in the Whitesburg ARH. He was the husband of Etta Bruner Barbus and the son of Walter and Stella (Zawacki) Barbus, born to them on February 5, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Stella Barbus and two former wives, Shirley and Bonnie.

Bob enjoyed attending different churches and singing and meeting new people who he loved talking to. He served his country in the United States Marines.

Left behind to mourn his passing, his wife, Etta Barbus of Lynch, one son, Jeff Barbus and wife Carol of Michigan, three daughters, Kristin Barbus and Scott of Michigan, Judy Cornett and husband Tim of Cumberland and Tracy Dixon and husband Mike of Barbourville, one brother, James Barbus of Australia and one sister, Nancy Widman and husband John of Michigan. He also leaves behind several grandchildren and great grandchildren and one special grandson, Jacob Cornett along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Robert “Bob” John Barbus will be conducted in the Lynch United Methodist Church on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Hugh “Gunner” Webb and Bro. Billy Lewis officiating. Cremation will follow.

Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 6:00 p.m.
