Mr. Robert Woods age 81, of Barbourville passed away Tuesday at his residence. He was born on November 2, 1929 in Knox County. He was a retired construction worker and believed in the Holiness Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents Judd Harrison McDonald and Emma McDonald. Two sons Edward and Robert Woods and one half sister Myrtle Yeager.
Survivors include two daughters: Regina Shackleford of Barbourville and Lorenda Gray of Bailey Switch, one brother: Sterling McDonald and wife Barbara of Girdler and on sister: Mary Ellen stuart and husband Johnny of Covington, KY.
Funeral services for Robert Wood will be conducted Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Eversole and Rev. Charles Eversole officiating. Burial will follow in the Trace branch Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Hampton Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
