Mr. Robert “Bobby” Stewart age 65 of Barbourville, Ky departed this life on Monday - February 25, 2008 in the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. He was the husband of Freda (Smith) Stewart. Mr. Stewart was born on January 27, 1943 in Knox Co. He was of the Holiness faith, and a member of the Roadfork Holiness Church. He also enjoyed rabbit hunting and work. Mr. Stewart worked at E.K. woods for 34 years, where he was a cut-off saw man. His grandparents who raised him Bob & Nancy Stewart preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother Pearly Mills of Gray, Ky., his wife of 43 years Freda (Smith)
Stewart, Two sons Danny Stewart & wife Vivian of Barbourville, Ky., Ricky Stewart of Chapman, Kansas. Two brothers Ellis Jones of Gray, Ky., Gary Scalf & wife Mary Jo of Barbourville, Ky., Two sisters Margie Sams of Gray, Ky., Nancy Lambert & husband James of Barbourville, Ky., One Grandchild Robert Stewart. A special niece Karen Jones and a host of other relatives and friends are left to mourn his passing. The Stewart family would like to say a special thank you to the Cancer Center at Corbin Hospital, and to Donna Doolin, and Tammy.
Funeral services for Mr. Stewart will be conducted on Thursday-February 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hobert Bingham, Rev. Dewayne Smith, Rev. Don Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Clarence Hill, Robert Stewart, Jerome Smith, Jackie Smith, Leslie Willis, Arnold Smith. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
