Robert Bays

Mr. Robert Bays, age 55 of Gray, KY passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in the UK Medical Center in Lexington. He was born on May 28, 1955 in Knox County KY to Calvin and Irene (Overton) Bays. He was united in marriage to Sherry McIntyre Bays and was a member of the Trosper Church of God. He loved to ride motorcycles, camping and fishing. He was preceded in death by his father Calvin Bays and one sister Brenda Bays.
Survivors include his wife Sherry Bays of Barbourville, KY, his mother Irene Bays of Trosper, KY one son, Robert Bryan Bays and wife Amy of London, KY, two daughters Angie Bays and Reba bays both of Barbourville, KY , three step daughters, Cheyenne Bowling and Kytonna Murray both of Barbourville, Ky and Shelby McIntyre of Cincinnati, OH, one brother, Charlie Bays and wife Denise of Trosper, KY, four sisters, Barbara Hembree and Geraldine Hamilton both of Trosper, KY Betty Philpot and husband Vernon of Kay Jay, KY , Wanda Messer and husband Earl of Greenroad, KY, four grandchildren, Bryanna Bays, Summer Smith, Cody Smith and Callie Beth Bays, one great grandchild, Aiden Mosley along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Robert Bays will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral home Chapel on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Hamilton and Rev. Leslie Broughton officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Mike Hamilton, Jerry Hamilton, Travis Gregory, Eric Mosley, Scotty Grubb, Gary Eversole, Brett Messer and Charlie Philpot. Honorary Pallbearer, James "Red" Hamilton. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
The family will receive friends at Hampton Funeral Home Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
