Mr. Ricky Lee Brown age 48 of Mills Creek departed this life on Friday Aug. 8, 2008 at his home. He was the husband of Ethel Brown and was born on September 22, 1959 in Knox Co., the son of Victor and Evelyn Brown. Ricky believed in the Holiness faith. He was a logger, truck driver and a carpenter. He like to work on cars, fish and spend time with his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Victor Brown, a daughter, Cheyanne Autumn Brown, one brother, William Brown and a niece Patricia Martin.
Those left behind to mourn his passing are his wife, Ethel Brown of Mills Creek, jhis mother, Evelyn Brown of Scalf, KY, one daughter, Stephanie Watson and husband Chad of Barbourville, four sons, Ricky Lee Brown, Jr. and fiance’ Pam of Dewitt, Jessie Joe Brown and fiance’ Aleshia of Mills Creek, Richie Wayne Brown and wife Tiffany of Barbourville and Phillip Ryan Brown of Mills Creek, seven grandchildren, two brothers, Owens Wayne Brown of Mills Creek, Joseph Brown and wife Tonya of Hinkle, three sisters, Donna Brown and husband Russell of Dewitt, Teresa Lynn Smith and husband Tony and Janice Kay Brown all of Mills Creek, his mother and father in law, Dewey and Jacquline Brown , brothers and sisters in law, Denver Brown and wife Robin of Dewitt, Dewey Brown, Jr. III and wife Barbara of Scalf, Myrtle Brown of Dewitt, Connie Spangler and husband Tom of Lufkin, Texas and Patricia Brown and husband Alvin of Dewitt. He also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Mr. Ricky Brown will be conducted on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stoney Brown and Rev. Gilbert Collins officiating. Pallbearers will be Denver Brown, Dewey Brown, III, Russell Brown, Preston Brown, Chad Watson and Dustin Brown. Burial will be in the Brown Cemetery at Mills Creek. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements. Visitation for Mr. Brown will be Tuesday evening at the Hampton Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral at 2:00 p.m.
