Mr. Richard Vaughn age 70 of Artemus, KY passed away on Saturday - October 15, 2011 at his home. He was born in Knox County, KY on June 30th, 1941 to the late Harve & Sudie (Jones) Vaughn.
Mr. Vaughn believed in the Baptist faith and had been a security guard, a former construction worker, and radiator repairman.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter Velva Kay Vaughn, five brothers bill, (his twin)Reed, Emanuel, Johnny, Earnest, eight sisters Noreen Grubb, Jessie Hart, Chelsea Vaughn, Bertha Vaughn, Nancy Taylor, Lola Sprinkles, Lena Gray, and Anna Mae Davis.
Left behind to mourn his passing is one son Richie Vaughn of Paoli, IN, three daughters Lena Vaughn of Paoli, IN, Lavonda Townsend & husband Matthew of Cordon, IN, and Nina Vaughn of Barbourville, KY, one brother Glen Vaughn & wife Francis of Barbourville, KY, and one sister Nola Hubbard of Barbourville, KY, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. Vaughn will be conducted on Wednesday - October 19th, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Roe Gibson & Rev. Ted Eversole officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will follow in the Old Morris Cemetery at Higgins Hollow. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
