Richard Hensley

Mr. Richard Wayne Hensley, age 59 of Owenton, KY, formerly of Knox Co., departed this life on Tuesday, February 8, 2011in the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY. He was born on November 27, 2011in Harlan, KY and was the son of Howard Hensley and the late Edna Marie Whittaker Hensley. Mr. Hensley was a farmer and loved to hunt. He was a Veteran of United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his mother Edna Hensley, and one brother, Mike Hensley.
Survivors include his father, Howard Hensley and wife Evelyn of Tuttle, one son Richard Hensley and wife Melissa of Tennessee, one daughter, Heather Hensley Brackett of Tennessee, three grandchildren, Taylor Hensley, Josh Hensley and Kaitlyn Hensley, four brothers, Benny Hensley and wife Patricia of Berea, Jim Hensley and wife Janet of Gray, Joe Hensley and wife Doris of Tuttle and Jack Hensley and wife Barbara of Norwood, Ohio, four sisters, Carolyn Elam and husband Chester of Barbourville, Shirley Cordell and husband Walter of Gray, Lillie Cordell of Corbin and Donna Hibbard and husband Claude of Floral City, Florida, a sisters in law, Sandy and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Hensley also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Richard Wayne Hensley will be conducted on Saturday, February, 12, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Jones and Rev. Rick Hensley officiating. Pallbearers will be Benny Hensley, Gary Hensley, Bart Elam, Brandon Elam, Michael Joe Hensley and Ryan Bruner. Burial will follow in the Howard Hensley Cemetery at Tuttle. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m .and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
