Rev. Vernon Dean Liford, age 34 of Girdler, KY passed away on Monday – August 16th, 2010 in the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was the husband of Amy (Davison) Liford and the son of Rev. Ronnie Dean & Ann (Mills) Liford born to them on October 1st, 1975 in Knox County.
Vernon was a former factory worker for Jackson, MSC and was a member of the Mt. Arat Baptist Church, he enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and preaching & attending church.
Left behind to mourn his passing is his parents Rev. Ronnie Dean & Ann Liford, of Girdler, KY, his wife Amy Liford, of Girdler, KY, two sons Dustin Hunter Liford of Cannon, KY, Jacob William Liford, of Barbourville, KY, and one daughter Chloe Hanna Elizabeth Liford of Bimble, KY and one step daughter Mereidith Jones. plus a host of aunts & uncles and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Rev. Vernon Dean Liford will be conducted on Friday – August 20th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Columbus Hensley, and Rev. Vernon Morris officiating. Pallbearers will be Rodney Hampton, Brian Elliot, Nick White, Danny Hale, Donnie Hatfield, David Lawson, Matt Hale, Tony Rhodes, Terry Payne, and Gary Davidson. Honorary Pallbearers will be friends & neighbors. Burial will follow in the Hammons Cemetery at Girdler, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
