Rev. Gary Douglas Riggs age 66 of London, Kentucky, went to be with his Lord on Saturday December 11, 2021. He was the husband of Patsy Ruth (Osborne) Riggs for 45 wonderful years and the son of Charles Wilburn and Gladys Cleo (Miller) Riggs.

He is preceded in death by his parents Charles Wilburn and Gladys Cleo Riggs, four brothers Clifford Riggs, Creston Riggs, J.T. Riggs, Mike Riggs and four sisters Loucella Gilbert, Marvella Aubrey, Lillas McCann and Mary Glen Hodges.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories five brothers Johnny Riggs, Carlie Riggs, Earl Riggs all of Hodgenville, Kentucky. Charles W Riggs Jr. of Mt. Washington Kentucky, Alford H Riggs of Harrodsburg Kentucky, two sisters Mary Edith Hood of Willisburg Kentucky and Patricia Riggs of Lebanon Kentucky and a host of nieces, nephews, family, church family and many dear friends.

Rev. Gary Riggs served as an ordained minister with the Church of God for 46 years.  He served as the Pastor of London Community Church of God for over 25 years. He along with his wife Patsy served the church faithfully and endlessly.

Gary worked for St. Joseph Hospital for 15 years and had recently retired to continue his work for the Lord. He was well known and respected by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

To mourn his passing visitation and funeral services will be at the London Community Church of God in London Kentucky, Saturday January 8, 2022  from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop Charles Fischer,  and Jerome McCullah  officiating the service. Burial will immediately follow at A.R. Dyche cemetery in London.

Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home in Barbourville will be in charge of arrangements.
