Rev. Franklin Delano Elliott, age 75 of Davis Bend, departed this life on Tuesday May 27, 2014 at his home. He was the son of Kager Marshall Elliott and Rissie (Barnett) Elliott, born to them on January 17, 1939 in Artemus, KY. On May 6, 1963, he united in marriage with Ruth Faye Patterson and to this union three daughters were born.
Frank was a missionary Baptist preacher and a member of the Davis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. During his life he had been a coal miner and worked in construction.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kager and Rissie Elliott, four brothers, C.T. Elliott, Lawrence Elliott, Jerry Kager Elliott and Austin Elliott, three sisters, Maudest Boord, Nadine Jackson and Roxie Elliott.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his loving wife, Faye Elliott of Davis Bend, three daughters, Angela Roberts and husband Arnold of Gray, KY, Melanie Nance of Jacksboro, TN and Frankie Phipps and husband Jamey of Barbourville, two sisters, Helen Tindall and husband Jim of Mt. Vernon, Ohio and Sue Ramey and husband Larry of Lexington, KY, seven grandchildren, Aaron Faulkner, Ryan Faulkner and wife Tina, Bethany Bowlin, Elliott Nance, Connor Phipps, Abby Phipps and Emmy Phipps, three great grandchildren, Alydia Kate Miracle, Brooke Young and husband Anthony, Eric Brewer and one great, great grandchild, Carson Young. Mr. Elliott also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Rev. Frank Elliott will be conducted at the Davis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at Davis Bend on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Elmore Kelly, Jr., Rev. Mark Hunter, Rev. Waylon Hunter, and Rev. Mike Kelly officiating. Pallbearers will be, Aaron Faulkner, Ryan Faulkner, Elliott Nance, Connor Phipps, Tommy Mays, Jr., Johnny Scalf, Tommy Scalf and Vernon Cole. Mr. Elliott will be laid to rest in the Hendrickson Cemetery at Davis Bend with Hampton Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Davis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church on Thursday evening after 6:00 p.m. and on Friday morning until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
