Mr. Ray Liford age 71, of Bimble, KY passed away Saturday at his residence. He was born on December 8, 1939 in Knox County to the late Willie and Janie Owens Liford. He was a retired Truck Driver and believed in the Baptist Faith. He loved to Fish, Hunt, Ride four-wheelers, Horse Shoes and Building things.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Willie Jr and Denvil Liford.
Survivors include two daughters Tammy Davidson of Bimble and Patty Crabtree of Michigan two brothers: Ken Liford and wife Darlene of Bimble, Randall Liford and wife Denise of Michigan, four sisters Joyce Sutherland of Bimble, Ruth Crepeau and husband John of Bimble, Faye Kiser and Fred of Tennessee and Mae Ramsey of Bimble. Three grandchildren Melinda Smith, Christopher Liford and Jeremy Davidson and Three Great Grandchildren Ethan Smith, Paxton Davidson and Rylee Smith and a special friend Jerry Lewis.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday March 29, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Liford officiating. Burial will follow in the Sutherland cemetery at Bimble with Jeremy Davidson, Christopher Liford, John Smith, Joe Meeler, Justin Sutherland, Cleveland Mills, Greg Bledsoe and Brandon Lewis serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Jerry Lewis.
The family will receive friends at Hampton Funeral Home Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
