Porcia Marie Mills age 24 of Louisville, KY formerly of Mills, KY departed this life on Friday, December 12, 2014 at her home. She was the daughter of Jerry Lee Mills and Bonnie Sue (Stewart) Mills.
Porcia was a Certified Nursing Assistant at American Medical Services in Louisville. She was a member of the Salem Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Leon and Roberta Mills, Carrie Grubb and Dianna Japenga.
Left behind to mourn her passing, her son Zayden Isaiah Emmanuel Merida, two beloved mothers Bonnie Mills of Flat Lick and Sonya Pierce of Michigan, her father, Jerry Lee Mills of Flat Lick , two brothers, Jerry Dean Dion Mills and wife Tonya of Flat Lick, and Robert Pierce of Michigan, two sisters, Rachel Pierce and Ashley Pierce both of Michigan, grandparents, Dennis Ray Stewart and Roseanna Heggerfeld. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Porcia Marie Mills will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Carnes and Rev. Teddy Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Mills Cemetery at Mills, KY. Pallbearers will be Brandon Carnes, Nathaniel Stewart, Jonathon Stewart, Jeremy Stewart, Adam Price and Justin Payne. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
