Mrs. Pauletta Fisher age 77 of Heidrick, KY departed this life on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at her home. She was the widow of Morris Fisher and the daughter of James C. Messer and Ruth (Jackson) Messer born to them on May 8, 1935 in Knox Co. Mrs. Fisher was a member of the Sinking Valley Baptist Church.
During her life she worked at Warner's and T G & Y and along with her husband Morris operated Fishers Market at Heidrick for over nine years. Pauletta loved quilting and working in her flower garden and cooking for her family. She is preceded in death by her husband Morris Fisher, her parents, James and Ruth Messer and one grandchild, Kris Fisher.
Survivors include five sons, James Earl Fisher and friend Jessica of Putney, KY, Wayne Fisher and wife Donna of Heidrick, Randal Dwight Fisher and friend Pat of Mt. Sterling, Gerald Fisher and wife Beth of Heidrick and David Fisher and wife Janet also of Heidrick, two daughters, Margaret Jackson and husband Junior of Cannon and Diane Gray and husband Gary of Heidrick, seventeen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and another one on the way and 1 great great grandchild, three brothers, Harold Messer and wife Beth of Union, KY, Jimmy Messer and wife Jerri of Barbourville and Robert Messer and wife Carlene of Frankfort, four sisters, Mary Ann Scalf of Barbourville, Barbara Jewell of Heidrick, Linda Hubbard of London and Joella Matlock and husband Wesley of Heidrick. Pauletta also leaves behind many other relatives and dear friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Pauletta Fisher will be conducted in the Sinking Valley Baptist Church on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Vernon Morris, Rev. Johnny Fisher and Rev. Terry Broughton officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Fisher, Nathan Fisher, Brandon Southard, Joshua Gray, Samuel Gray, Michael Fisher and Jimmy Adkins. Honorary pallbearers will be, staff of Hospice of the Bluegrass, Dr. Pederson and staff of Knox Family Medicine, all members of Sinking Valley Baptist Church, Knox Co. Home Health staff, Hampton Funeral Home staff, and all her sons and daughters in law. Mrs. Fisher will be laid to rest in the Fisher Cemetery at Heidrick. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the Sinking Valley Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
