Mr. Paul Lamar age 78 of East Bernstadt, Ky., passed away Friday in the Corbin Nursing Home. He was the widower of Myrtle Lamar and the son of the Late Paul Criner & Anna (Young) Criner. Mr. Lamar served in the Army from 1951 until 1953 and was a corporal, and radio operator; he was in the Air Force from 1956 until 1960 and worked in the photo lab. He was also a Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Lamar was a member of the London church of Nazarene, and enjoyed watching TV, working puzzles, going to church, photography. His Parents, wife and one sister Elema Dill preceded Mr. Lamar in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Paula Lynn Gibson & husband Rick of London, Ky., Pamela Lawson of Cannon, Ky., Karen Castell and husband Wayne of Benton, Ark., two brothers Harold Lamar and wife Irene of Elkwood, Ind., Ed Criner & wife Sue of Palm city, Fla., one sister Madline Mau of Fl., four Grandchildren. Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. The family would like to send special thanks to Dr. Peterson & staff, Nurse Lori, and the Corbin Nursing Home.  Visitation for Mr. Lamar will be Tuesday October 07,2008 at the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and a memorial service will be held November 01, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ted Brewer officiating and burial will follow at the National Cemetery in Nancy, Ky.
