Paul Davis

Mr. Paul Edmond Davis, age 73 of Heidrick, Ky. departed this life on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 in the Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin, Ky. He was the son of the late Jake Davis and Hazel (Fortney) Davis, born to them in Knox County, Ky on July 19, 1934. Mr. Davis was a member of the New Harvest Tabernacle Church, where he taught Sunday School & studied Philosophy. He was a retired factory worker from General Motors Company. He was also a Veteran of U.S. Army. He was also know as the jack of all trades for the family and loved to stay busy. His favorite past time was being a Ham Radio Operator.
On November 25, 1958 he was united in marriage to Margaret Helen Jackson. In addition To his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Davis. Survivors include Two brothers, Charles Davis & wife Helen Jean of Barbourville,Ky,; John H. Davis & wife Margorie of Beaver Creek, Ohio,; Two sisters Zelma Vancil & husband Jim of Dayton, Ohio,; Thelma Myrick & husband Albert of Ponder, Texas. Mr. Davis also Leaves behind several Nieces & Nephews. Funeral Services will be in the Chapel of the Hampton Funeral Home on Sunday- September 16, 2007 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Sylvester Dunn & Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating. Interment will be in the Doolin Cemetery in Heidrick, Ky. Pallbearers will be Billy Ray Singleton, Mark Gray, Tony Yother, Keith Johnson, Derrick Johnson, Gerald West. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
