Mr. Otis Ball age 89, of Cannon passed away Friday- February 13, 2009 at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, KY he was the son of the late Carter & Pearline (Blanton) Ball. Mr. Ball believed in the Baptist faith, and was a Farmer, and owner of Cannon Pay Lake. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Paul Ball, Lonnie Ball, and one sister Marie Tietla.
Survivors include: one sister Ohna Lau of Pompano Beach, FL, one nephew Bob Lau of Lafollette,TN, a sister-in-law Nan Trent, a very special friend Dorothy Newman of Himyar, KY, and a host of special friends and care givers which include Hazel Mills, Tracy Frederick, Austin Frederick, Pam & Bill Harmon & kids, McKayla Frederick & Chloe Frederick, and Dallas & Hazel Lewis. Funeral Services for Mr. Otis Ball will be in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday – February 18, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Denvil Taylor officiating. Pallbearers will be James Frederick, Bill Harmon, Michael Miracle, Dallas Lewis, and Bob Lau. Burial will follow in the Jones & Hurst Cemetery at Cannon, KY. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
