Opal Warren
November 12, 1931 — February 19, 2013
Mrs. Opal Warren, age 81, of Walker Park Road passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 at her residence. Opal was born in Knox County Kentucky on November 12, 1931 to William and Laura Broughton. Opal was united in marriage to the late Pap Dad Charlie Warren.
To this union the following children were born :Jerry West of Williamsburg, Terry West of Barbourville, Sherry Bertram and Carol Fannon both of Harrogate, TN, Maggie Seals of Morristown, TN Shirley Peavley of Barbourville, Shelia Turner of Alabama, Opal was also survived by one brother Kenneth Broughton of Barbourville and by 26 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Opal was preceded in death by one son Larry West, and one daughter Sharon Smith. Opal was an extraordinary mom and wife and was a believer in the Baptist faith and enjoyed quilting, gardening, sewing for her children, and being a mom and grandmother.
Funeral services for Opal Warren will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Denvil Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Warren West Cemetery on Walker Park Road. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 6;00 until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Hampton Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
