Mrs. Ollie McDonald
Mrs. Ollie McDonald age 88 formerly of Bailey Switch passed away on Sunday - January 9th, 2011 in the Kenwood Terrace Hospital, She was the widow of James Henry McDonald and the daughter of the late Perry & Lizzie (Lawson) Jackson of Knox County born to them on October 26th, 1922.
Ollie was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and a former worker of Standard Overhaul where she was a seamstress. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and gardening.
Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one son Winford McDonald, two sisters Etta Martin, and Daisy Mills, three brothers James, Lester and Luther Jackson and one Grandchild Debra Abbott.
Left behind to mourn her passing is one son Denver McDonald & wife Lisa of Cincinnati, Ohio, one daughter Volena Weathers & husband Chuck of Cincinnati, Ohio, one brother Ralph Jackson & wife Mildred of Artemus, KY. Five Grandchildren Linda Newman, Jeff McDonald, John Ellis, Teresa Shepard, and Lisa McDonald, eighteen grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. McDonald will be conducted on Wednesday, January 12th, 2011 @ 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Bargo & Rev. Bill Wolfe officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will follow in the Hutchinson cemetery at Bailey Switch. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
