Oda "Granny" Creech

Mrs. Oda "Granny" Creech age 74 of Flat Lick, Ky departed this life on Friday, February 26, 2016 at her home. She was born on December 9, 1941 the daughter of Lee and Clara (Bingham) Gray. She was the widow of Rufus Creech and was a retired nurse. She was a member of the Free Spirit Baptist Church. She loved gardening and canning, quilting and reading her Bible.
She is preceded in death by her husband Rufus Creech, her parents Lee and Clara Gray, one brother, Bowman Gray, Sr. and a half-brother, Otis Gray.
Left behind to mourn her passing, three sons, Tommy Black, Sr. and wife Linda of Barbourville, James Black and wife Dorothy of Stanford, KY and Thomas Black, Jr. and wife Amanda Sue of Flat Lick, three brothers, Garrett Gray and wife Elon, Roy Gray and wife Joanne and Flem Gray and wife Ruth all of Flat Lick, one sister, Rindia Mills, three grandchildren: Lori Renee Hensley, Kimberly Gambrel and husband Michael and Garrett Black all of Flat Lick. She also leaves behind nine great grandchildren along with a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Granny Creech will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Lawson and Rev. Roger Liford officiating. Pallbearers will be Stacy Warren, Andrew Blakely, David Jordan, Cotton Baker, Jr. Mills and Andy Mills. Honorary pallbearers will be,
Roger Williamson, and all members of the Free Spirit Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Gray Cemetery at Flat Lick. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening at the Hampton Funeral Home from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m., on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
