Mr. Norman Lee Mills age 73 of Corbin, KY, departed this life on Thursday, December 9, 2010 in the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was the husband of Wanda (Rose) Mills and the son of Nasby and Minnie (Smith) Mills born to them on March 9th, 1937 in Knox Co.
Mr. Mills believed in the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his parents Nasby & Minnie Mills, one son Rick Mills, three brothers Dewey Mills, J C Mills, and Randall Mills, two sisters Juanita Carnes, and Martha Carnes.
Left behind to mourn his passing is his wife Wanda Mills of Corbin, KY, one son Tom Mills of Washington State, one daughter Sharon Gretencard and husband Vern of Illinois, six brothers OV Mills & wife Shelby of Cookville, TN, Orville Mills (his twin brother) & wife Gerdie of Corbin, KY, General Mills & wife Jeanetta of New Carlisle, Ohio, Sie Mills & wife Diana of Corbin, KY, and Rudy Mills & wife Esterleen of Corbin, KY. four sisters Victoria Evans of Dahlonga, GA, Elizabeth Stewart of Flat Lick, KY, Irene Campbell of Corbin, KY, and Darlene McNeil & husband Bob of Corbin, KY, plus several grandchildren and great grandchildren , and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Norman Mills will be conducted on Monday December 13th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Warfield officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Burial will follow in the Slusher Cemetery at Rockholds. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the Hampton Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
