Noah Allen Wells of Corbin, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Christian Care Community in Corbin, being 80 years, 11 months and 22 days of age. He was born on October 24, 1935 in Knox County, Kentucky to the late Kenneth Well and the late Margaret Shelton Wells. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his brother Jennings Wells and sister Opal Coleen Wells. As a child Noah loved to spend his time, like most young boys, playing with his marbles or rolling tires. Noah had a love for church; it was instilled in him even as a small child when he and his family would walk to church on Sundays. He loved listening to singing, especially the old time quartet style music. His most prized possession was his Bible and it never left his side. Noah will always be remembered for his sweet and gentle demeanor, he never got upset, but just spent his time loving people.

He leaves behind to mourn his passing his three sisters: Dora Arbutus Watson of Corbin, Joyce Smith of Corbin and Georgia Rains of Corbin; his nieces and nephews: Ricky Curnutt and wife Virginia of Williamsburg and Vicky Lane and husband Johnny of Barbourville.

A funeral service to honor the life of Noah Wells will be conducted on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 11:00AM in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. He will be laid to rest in the Wells Cemetery with friends and family serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 10:00AM until the funeral hour at 11:00AM.
