Nadine Partin

Mrs. Nadine Partin age 84 of Barbourville, KY passed away on Saturday-September 13, 2008 in the Central Baptist Hospital. She was the daughter of William Nelson Adams and Cora Ethel (Farmer) Adams born to them on July 1, 1924 in Knox Co. KY. Mrs. Partin was of the Baptist faith and very much enjoyed her gardening, sewing, shopping and most of all her grandchildren. Mrs. Partin was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leffell Terrel Partin, two daughters Goldie Messer & Geraldine Maiden,one sister Ruby Sears, and brother Jr. Adams.
Survivors for Mrs. Partin include: Her children, Shirley Gibson and husband John, Jr. of Dayton, OH, Thursey Belcher of Walker Park Rd. , Carrie Swafford and husband TJ of Walker Park Rd. , Robert Partin and wife Penny of Poplar Creek, Gail Centers and husband Charlie of Barbourville, KY , Nicki Hammons and husband Ricky of Gray , KY A son-in-law: Carl Maiden of Walker Park Rd. , her grandchildren: Mike Gibson, Robyn Kirk and husband John, Jeffery Messer and wife Tammy, Junior Messer and wife Lily, Shannon Cornelius and husband James, Joy Maiden, a special granddaughter Marquita Broughton and husband Johnny, Scotty Lee Terrell Partin, Robby Steven Partin, Cody Swafford, Dustin Centers and Jaxton Hammons Ms. Partin also leaves behind 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild in addition to a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Partin will be conducted on Thursday-September 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kennon Roark and Rev. Dewayne Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Adams Cemetery at Walker Park Rd. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and family. Honorary pallbearers will be staff of the Christian Health Center, Dr. Vora & Staff, Dr. Atienza & Staff, Doyle Rutherford, Special caregivers Ethel Mills & Ruby Parker and special friends Willie Pennington, Gene & Kathy Justice, Calloway & Liz Gray, and Kenneth & Thelma Rutherford. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m. and Thursday from 9-2.
